Doha: Al Jazeera Media Network is participating in the 31st edition of the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). Its booth features books and special publications published by the Al Jazeera Center for Studies. Al Jazeera Media Institute will offer multiple workshops and activities for visitors to this major international event, which runs until January 22.

During the fair, Al Jazeera Media Institute will offer several media training workshops, including “The Art of Journalistic Editing”, “Writing Journalistic Articles”, “Sports Photography”, “Being a Young Presenter” and two mobile photography workshops targeting different age groups. Additionally, the Institute is building an interactive television studio, allowing visitors to experience being in front of a camera as a news anchor. It will also offer the public the experience of working on montages and will dedicate a space to enroll in the Institute’s courses while introducing how to benefit from the educational services it offers as part of its online learning resource. .

Al Jazeera’s stand will showcase publications and books on media education, media communication and issues of Journalism Review magazine, seeking to enrich Arabic journalism content, produced by the Media Institute.

Al Jazeera Center for Studies will exhibit nearly 100 publications and excerpts from its “Lubab” magazine.

The Center will showcase books, including new releases, covering many areas related to regional security, strategy, political studies, and economics and media studies. Books and publications focus on issues of interest to the Arab world and its surrounding regions.

On the first day of the fair, the Al Jazeera Center for Studies organized a seminar entitled “Qatari-American Cultural Relations: The Strategic Alliance for Human Knowledge”, which was broadcast on Al Jazeera channel Mubasher and digital platforms of the Center.

Al Jazeera’s Arabic website is participating in a digital cartoon project called “Mansi”, a fictional character created to represent Arab youth and voice their concerns about their causes. “Mansi” will soon be launched on social media platforms.

The project is part of the development of the visual production of aljazeera.net, hosted on its website. Visitors will be able to view an introductory presentation of the project, as well as some of the site’s digital productions on designated video screens, throughout the internationally renowned exhibition days.
