Meredith Ceasing No More Magazine Publication
Des Moines-based Meredith Corp. will cease publishing More magazine later this year.
Citing the effects of the recession and low ad revenue, Meredith said she would shut down More magazine after its April 2016 issue. Instead of continuing the magazine, the company said it had decided “instead to invest and align its resources on more profitable activities “.
The female lifestyle magazine began in 1997 and “has attracted a loyal following of high income women,” Meredith said in a statement.

About 30 employees worked for More magazine.
A spokesperson for Meredith said most worked in New York City, none worked in Des Moines. He said some employees affected by the magazine’s closure will be considered for other jobs at Meredith.
